Notice the oil filter housing was replaced. Suspect that the crossover oring is leaking. Recommend taking back to the shop that replaced the oil filter housing. once again, back to the shop that covers oil cooler under warranty for a 3rd time! If your going to do just the gaskets in the oil cooler don't forget i believe there is a gasket between the heat exchanger and the rest of the assembly as well as the assembly and the engine block.

Several years ago, all the gaskets to rebuild the oil cooler on the 1.4 were close to $50 using oe parts. An oil cooler entire assembly was like $125. It seems that i have an oil and coolant leak from oil cooler on 2010 e250 cgi w212 m271 1.8t vin: Wdd2120472a296740 the oil and coolant are dripping down the left hand side of the engine block behind the starter motor and a bit further up.

The starter motor is in the way of oil cooler, so i cannot see clearly. I can feel that the oil cooler is wet. So i have had a long time small leak from the oil cooler on my 2012 1.4 cruze eco. I finally took it into the dealership where i purchased it and received a quote for replacement.

It’s way higher than i was expecting, and there are other parts such as a tensioner and belt that i don’t feel like are any part of the replacement of the oil cooler.

Suspect that the crossover oring is leaking.

Recommend taking back to the shop that replaced the oil filter housing. once again, back to the shop that covers oil cooler under warranty for a 3rd time! The turbo oil input line is above all of that, and either leaks at the top of the center of the turbo (its under the heat shield), or at the oil cooler If your going to do just the gaskets in the oil cooler don't forget i believe there is a gasket between the heat exchanger and the rest of the assembly as well as the assembly and the engine block.
